Well, our shakedown cruise was fairly good even though we had a little setback. The warning light for overheating the engine came on and it looked like things were overheating. Dennis ran down below and checked various parts of the boat, returned on deck and announced that it was impossible so we carried on even though the shrieking sound was quite unbearable. Eventually it stopped and we motored on. The explanation had something to do with an air bubble. Whatever – all is good now and we are sitting at Bob’s Point Marina enjoying the good weather and waiting for friends to arrive with pizza (wouldn’t want to strain ourselves!)
